 Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya, Thrikkakara attempted a Guinness World  Record feat for the longest line of notebooks in the school campus on 19th March 2018. A total of 7400 notebooks were placed for a distance of 1325.1 mts by the students and teachers under the efficient leadership of Smt. Usha.K (Senior Principal, Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya) and Smt. Kalyani N.P (Vice Principal).

 Besides setting the World Record, the paramount aim of this event was to generate resource in the form of note books  which can be given to the students of the weaker sections of the society. 
The observers Smt. A. Sajitha (Additional Secretary Law Department) ,  Smt. Shyamalakshmi . S (Asst. Commissioner of General Rural Department) and the surveyors Sri. Subramanian (Asst. Director in charge) and Sri. Thampi Paul submitted their reports to the Guinness World Record Committee.

Kedarnath Shenoy (NPOL Director), Sri. V.S Shenoy (School Committee Chairman), Smt. Asma Noushad (Counsellor), Dr.Nileena V.P (PTA President) and Sri. Renjith K (PTA Vice President) offered their moral support for this venture with their valuable presence.

Bharatheeyam 2018’, an interschool patriotic song competition was organised at Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya, Thrikkakara on 6th February 2018. The Chief Guest of the day was Smt. Sinchu. P ( SMC Vice Chairman). Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Girinagar secured the first prize and Bhavan’s Newsprint Vidyalaya, Velloor secured the second prize. The third position was shared by Bhavan’s Adarsha Vidyalaya, Kakkanad and Bhavan’s Vidya Mandir, Elamakkara.




Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya,Thrikkakara felicitated Smt. Adv. R. Ranjanie and her daughter Kum. Vishnupriya L Prabhu (Student of Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya)  on 2nd February 2018  for their noble act of kindness in saving a life. Sri. E. Ramankutty (Director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra), Dr. Nileena V.P (PTA President) and Sri. Ranjith K(PTA Vice President) offered the felicitations. The chief guests were presented with a Ponnada by Sri. E. Ramankutty. Smt. Usha.K(Senior Principal), Smt. Kalyani N.P(Vice Principal) and Smt. Shaleena Suresh        (PTA member) graced the occasion.




Principal Usha K, Vice Principal Kalyani N P and Ms Aleyamma George were felicitated on January 30th 2018 for winning  P K Das Memorial Award instituted by Nehru Group of institutions and Sri Murugan for receiving the International Coach Licence.



Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya, Thrikkakara celebrated its 26th Annual Day on 18th January, 2018 amidst great zest, vibrancy and elation. Sri.K. Mohammed Y Safirulla IAS (District Collector, Ernakulam) was the esteemed chief guest of the day.

The programme commenced with a prayer by the school choir and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Hon’ble Chief guest, escorted by other dignitaries and the Principal. Smt. Bismi S Nair (Staff Secretary) welcomed the eminent guests. Smt. Usha. K (Senior Principal, Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya) presented the Annual Report . Chief Guest of the day Sri.K. Mohammed Y Safirulla IAS addressed the gathering. Sri. V S Shenoi (Chairman, SMC) and Dr. Nileena V P (PTA President) offered the felicitations. Sri. E Ramankutty (Director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra) presided over the function. This was followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where the Hon’ble chief guest gave away the prizes to the academically meritorious pupils of the school.

The cultural programme started off with a scintillating ‘Instrumental Jugalbandi’ to bring a melody and symphony to life followed by a different approach to ‘Ottamthullal’, conceived and written by Smt. Usha K (Senior Principal). Next was ‘De La Soul’ a musical melodrama in English to spread the message of harmony and power of Music. Thereafter a Malayalam Drama ‘Thunnal’ was staged with a social message that every relationships in this world is woven with a sacred thread of love. Finally, a peacock dance ‘Live and Let Live’ was performed by the students of Std. XI with exuberance, unmatched zeal and rhythm.

Kumari Darsana S Nair (School Head girl) shared the reminiscences and Master Akash Philip (School Head Boy) proposed the Vote of thanks. The programme culminated with the National Anthem.
