Reading Day Celebrations 2024
Bhavan's VarunaVidyalaya, Thrikkakara, launched a week-long celebration today, June 19, 2024, focused on the power of reading. This Reading Week initiative aims to rekindle students' passion for literature and highlight its importance in their educational journey.
The event began with a lamp-lighting ceremony led by the esteemed Dr. Nikhilesh Menon R, a renowned author and Clinical Consultant Epidemiologist. Dr. Nikhilesh Menon R addressed the students, emphasizing the profound impact of knowledge on shaping one's future. He acknowledged the changing landscape of reading in the digital age but highlighted that books expanded access to a vast ocean of information through the written word.
Kum M. Rithika of Class XII administered the Reading Day pledge. Kum Janvi Ajay of Class XI and Kum Arya Unnikrishnan of Class VIII delivered a speech in connection with Reading Day celebrations. Kum Neeraja M. of Class IX introduced the author Thakazhi Sivasankara Pillai during the morning assembly.
Principal Smt. Remadevi K P, Vice Principal Smt. Smitha Jayaraj, and Assistant Vice Principal Smt. Sindu C. Nair were present on the occasion.
