International Yoga Day 2024
Bhavan’s Varuna Vidyalaya Thrikkakara celebrated International Day of Yoga on June 21st, embracing the essence of the ancient Indian discipline of yoga.
The day highlighted the physical and spiritual aspects of yoga, encouraging both students and teachers to incorporate yoga into their daily routines.
The event aimed to demonstrate yoga's transformative power in promoting global unity and harmonious coexistence, in line with this year's theme, "Yoga for self and society." Kum M Rithika of Std XI welcomed the gathering.
Chief Guest Smt Jijimol A Ayyappan addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of healthy relationships and mutual understanding. She pointed out that in our fast-paced world, stress and anxiety have become common companions. Yoga offers a sanctuary from this chaos, allowing us to reconnect with ourselves. Its benefits are well-documented: improved flexibility, better posture, enhanced concentration, and a profound sense of inner peace.
Students from classes VI-IX and XII showcased impressive yoga postures and yoga dance routines set to music. NCC Cadets presented a scintillating yoga display. Kum Ojiya K Frijo of Std X delivered the vote of thanks.
Principal Smt Remadevi K P, Vice Principal Smt Smitha Jayaraj, and Assistant Vice Principal Smt Sindhu C Nair were present at the event.
